About Megan Bennington
I am a writer, poet, and artist striving to create a beautiful life through writing, art, and slow moments of attention. This space holds my stories, my creative work, and the unfolding process of becoming whole in a busy world. My work, whether writing, poetry, or visual art, is rooted in nature and in the beleif that beauty and connection can be found everywhere. As a pop-up poet, I create poems with people in live moments, connecting their stories and turning them into something tangible and lasting. I am currently available for live pop-up poetry, poem or art commissions, and creative collaborations.
POP UP POETRY
Pop-up poetry is a live and interactive experience where I create personalized poems in real time on a vintage typewriter. At events, I listen to guests' stories, moments, and feelings in order to transform them into one-of-a-kind poems they can take home or gift to others. It's a way of turning fleeting conversations into something tangible, personal, and lasting.
WRITER
As a writer, I enjoy writing fiction, especially short stories and flash fiction. But it is poetry that has really captured my heart.
My poetry and book reviews have been published in literary journals including FreeFall, New Forum, and ARC Poetry.
ARTIST
As an artist, I am drawn to work with oil and watercolour mediums in order to explore the beauty of the world around us.
